In an ideal world, an internship leads to a job. BHNC understands this and focuses on developing soft skills and hard skills as well as promotions from within. In fact, many employees begin as interns in order to learn the basics of the business and then climb the ranks within the company and industry . My advice for someone who's coming into the agency: 'The sky's the limit,' says one of the company’s Executives, who started as an intern herself.
The Internship/Volunteer Program is designed to attract students enrolled in a wide variety of educational institutions with opportunities to work and explore Human Services/Public Health careers while still in school. This program develops public leaders and exposes students to jobs in the public sector.
Eligibility
Eligibility for the program requires the applicant to be actively enrolled in a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis advancing toward a diploma or degree in a related field.
Moreover, applications are accepted from students enrolled in the following:
- High school
- Home-school programs
- Vocational and technical schools
- Undergraduate level programs
- Graduate level programs
